Check into the Courtyard Marriott, conveniently located right in the heart of downtown LaGrange. Park once for the weekend and settle into modern, comfortable rooms with easy, walkable access to all the evening’s festivities, shops, and dining.
Gather around the town square at 5:30PM for the annual Tinsel Trail Tree Lighting, with dozens of trees decorated to benefit Circles of Troup County. Sip hot cocoa or wine, listen to festive music, and take group photos under the glowing lights before exploring downtown.

Day 2: Saturday, November 21, 2026

Brunch, Wine & Twinkling Lights

  • Start with a local, delicious brunch.
  • Sip fresh wine flights in a peaceful vineyard.
  • Wrap up with the most festive night run in the South.
Lace up your sneakers (or festive holiday sweaters) for the Tour de Tinsel 5K! Walk or jog through LaGrange’s beautifully decorated historic streets lined with glowing holiday lights. It’s a low-pressure, high-fun tradition where completing the course together is the real goal.
Gather around the crafting table to design your very own lush, seasonal floral arrangement just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Guided by floral designer Jerry Rigby, your group will mix warm autumn blooms, rich greenery, and rustic accents to build a stunning holiday focal point. This workshop is suitable for all experience levels, from beginner to advanced. ($60 per person. Pre-registration is required by November 16.)
Racing? Keep your legs loose with a short, easy 15–20 minute shakeout jog or walk along a flat section of The Thread. Afterwards, head into Downtown LaGrange for fresh fruit smoothies, protein shakes, or cold-pressed juices to stay hydrated and fueled without feeling heavy.
Walking or cheering on the racers? Spend a leisurely afternoon at Nutwood Winery, where landscape views and locally crafted wines create the perfect setting for a girls’ getaway. Sip your way through a tasting, enjoy light bites, and soak in the relaxed atmosphere.
