The campgrounds listed below are all convenient to all that LaGrange has to offer, including world-class restaurants, breweries, wineries, and numerous options for catching live music. You can tour historic Hills & Dales Estate, visit the Biblical History Center, shop in our many locally owned boutiques and antique stores, or catch a play at the Lafayette Society for the Performing Arts.

If you’re an angler, you’ll fall for West Point Lake, hook, line and sinker. The nearly 26-thousand acre lake offers excellent fishing that draws people from all over the country. West Point Lake is home to many species of bass, with the lake record Largemouth weighing in at 14 lbs, 2 oz! That record was set in 1988, but the most recent was set in 2025 (White Bass, 2 lbs, 6.08 oz). You can also fish for crappie, catfish, bream and striper.

Whether you’re longing for lake life, a sucker for sight-seeing or just want to do a little shopping, LaGrange’s RV park options can accommodate any preference. If you’d love a quiet, wooded campground on the lake, make a reservation at Holiday Campground. Pine Mountain RV Resort offers a forest experience with plenty of amenities, perfect for a longer stay. If you want a campground with easy access to tons of lake recreation, reserve a spot at Highland Marina. Whatever your choice, you’ll find a great home base to launch your LaGrange adventure.

Highland Marina is a Fisherman’s Paradise

If you bring your own boat, Highland Marina offers a place not just to park your RV but also a spot to dock your watercraft. After your boat finds a home in the marina’s covered or uncovered slips, head over to the wooded RV park. The park offers nightly and long-term rentals, providing a perfect sanctuary for your adventures. Highland offers 38 RV sites, 27 with full hookups and a resort dump station available for the remaining sites. Some of the sites will accommodate up to a 45-foot rig. All electric sites have 30- and 50-amp services. Highland also offers cabins for rent.

Didn’t bring a boat? That won’t sink your plans. The marina also offers boat rentals. There are also several fishing guides who will provide a boat and take you where the fish are biting! And there are plenty of other recreation opportunities at the marina. Rental pontoons and jet skis are available, so you can spend a fun-filled day on the water. It’s also an ideal spot for birdwatching and sunbathing on sandy beaches.

And when all that water and sun has made you hungry, you can visit the marina’s outstanding restaurant, Captain’s. Sit right on the water and take in a breathtaking sunset while you enjoy oysters on the half shell, crawfish and shrimp étouffée or their low country boil.

It’s Game On at Holiday Campground at West Point Lake

You won’t run out of things to do at Holiday Campground. This sprawling, wooded campground offers waterfront spots as well as heavily wooded sites with lake views. Holiday Campground has 112 sites, including sites with both water and electric hookups, 50-amp electrical sites, primitive camping sites, and group sites. There is a dump station conveniently located at the campground. There are back-in and pull-through sites available.

The lake isn’t the only source of fun. The park offers basketball and tennis courts, a playground and several trails that wind along the lake that are perfect for mountain biking. A wildlife management area of nearly 10,000 acres, located at the upper end of the lake, provides a habitat for a wide variety of wildlife, offering delight to animal enthusiasts, photographers and bird-watchers. This area also offers excellent hunting opportunities.

Reservations are recommended but drive-ins are welcome, pending availability. Public restrooms are convenient to all sites. Holiday Campground is a great option if you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet campground to stay while enjoying the lake.

Pine Mountain RV Resort Offers Modern Utilities

Amenities include a free wi-fi, a community lodge, swimming pool and hot tub, activities pavilion, children’s playground and water play area, horseshoes and bicycle rentals, off-leash dog park area and secure RV storage.

R. Shaefer Heard Campground is Great for Long Stays

R. Shaefer Heard Campground is located on the southern shore of West Point Lake. The park boasts 177 sites with electric and water hookups. Some campsites have wooden decks. On-site coin laundry makes this campground perfect for longer stays. Other amenities include a boat launch, picnic area, grills, hiking trails, a tennis court, playground and public restrooms with hot showers. The camping park is open year-round and great for large groups!

Pyne Road Park Campground Offers the Mega Ramp!

Pyne Road Park is home to Troup County’s record-setting Mega Boat Ramp. Completed in 2010, it is the largest boat ramp to ever be pushed into place in a body of water. This massive park is also home to 22 sites for tent and RV campers, making it an oasis for nature lovers. Park amenities include a 24-hr attendant, boat ramp, nature trails, dump station and flushing toilets. Bring your own water skis, inner tubes, fishing poles, kayaks and more for entertainment on the lake. The campground is open seasonally with a maximum stay of 14 nights.

Whitetail Ridge Campground is a Nature Lover’s Dream

Whitetail Ridge Campground is located on the western side of West Point Lake. It offers 58 sites with electric and water hookups. Along with waterfront sites and heavily wooded areas, the amenities at this campground also include a dump station, laundry facilities, flush toilets and hot showers. Whitetail Ridge is open seasonally from March to November.
