SCOOT AROUND

HILLSIDE

Make sure to bring some wheels along for the trip! LaGrange has not one but two awesome rider-focused parks, both of which are perfect for scooters or young cyclists. Spend your morning exploring Pedal Park, designed with young riders in mind, then use The Thread to explore the Hillside District.
Hills & Dales Estate is one of the most beautifully preserved historic homes in the country. Featuring gardens planted almost 200 years ago, Hills & Dales offers affordable tours of the estate. With gardens-only admission starting at $5 for students (8 yrs – college) and $10 for adults, it’s one of the best deals in town.

EXPLORE THE THREAD

Cyclists, walkers, and runners will enjoy The Thread, LaGrange’s urban trail system. With miles of trail connecting our city, you can get virtually anywhere, completely on foot! This free community feature will take you through historic neighborhoods and past beautiful homes.

GRAB A SCOOP (OR 2)

After you’re done scooting around Hillside, stop into Rock Salt Milk Bar for a sweet treat. You can enjoy your ice cream by the scoop, in a bowl or one of their house-made waffle cones, or if you are feeling more adventurous can try a sundae or milkshake made with their signature flavors.

Day 3

  • Get hands on with the history of LaGrange
  • Scoot around at Southbend Park
  • PARENTS - grab a beer at Wild Leap
