Located within a 458-acre park on West Point Lake, Pyne Road Park is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset before doing some night fishing! Is your summer really official if you haven’t hit the waters of West Point Lake? No boat? No worries. Highland Pines Resort and Marina has you covered with boat rentals at great prices so you can take it easy on the tide. In fact, it’s common for groups to rent a pontoon, hook up a bluetooth speaker and set sail on a Pontoon Boat Party for the day.

ON THE RIVER

Located in West Point, GLL Outdoors is the ultimate one-stop shop for your kayak adventure down the Chattahoochee River. The all-inclusive rentals provide you with a life jacket, paddles and the option for a single or double kayak. Beginning below West Point Dam, the waters remain relatively smooth for a relaxing float downstream. Plan to spend 2-3 hours on the water once you take off, so don’t forget the sunscreen and plenty of water!
Featuring over 70 species from around the world, you’ll want to carve out some time for an adventure at Wild Animal Safari! Take your own vehicle or rent a zebra van and travel through the 3.5-mile drive experience, getting up-close and personal with a variety of animals. When you purchase tickets, be sure to purchase bags of grass pellets. You’ll be able to feed giraffes, buffalo, zebras and more from the palm of your hand!
Tucked away in LaGrange, Nutwood Winery sits on ten acres of land filled with 200 year old pecan trees. Enjoy time with friends and family in the 6,000 sq. ft. tasting room with a full wine bar and ample seating. Specialized cheeses and meats are available for purchase and pair perfectly with the venue’s selection of wines.
