Learn Nutwood’s History

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, elegant Nutwood was built in 1833 by architect Collin Rodgers. He was known for his Federal and more formal Greek Revival style with its stately, four-column porticos that helped to define southern architecture. Rodgers also left his signature behind – a trademark medallion bird you can find on the Ionic column above the entrance. The grandeur of this historic property is the perfect backdrop to begin your Nutwood adventure.
